We have listed some of the applications we have developed below. These are
just a small sample of the more than two thousand applications and variations to
applications which we have already developed using AppWizard.
Action Request System:
This system, also known as an Incident Management System, allows a user to
request a specific action. These actions vary from a request for computer
support, to the reposting of an accident. Based on the category and action
required, the request is forwarded to specific user. Request can be referred to
other users, processed, and completed. Full reporting allows for the tracking of
each request. A full record of each action is available, taking the guess work
out of any interaction between staff members.
Human Resources System:
A full HR system was developed, including an organizational structure, full
employee records, uploading of documents (like ID documents and proof of
education), job descriptions, and records of personnel file entries.
Limited access is given to every employee, showing only their own information
and that of their subordinates.
Procurement System:
The foundation of this system is a vendor database. The database holds as
much information as possible about the vendor, including their BEE status.
The purchase request system only allows purchasing from vendors approved on the
vendor database. A BEE scorecard reports is drawn by tracing the invoices on the
financial system back to the order numbers linked to the vendor database. As a
sideline benefit, the contact details of all allowed vendors is available from
the vendor database.
Telephone Management System:
The PABX units of the company
writes all their transactions on LAN buffer boxes, which in turn is uploaded
onto the database. Through a calculation stored procedure on the database,
the cost of each call is calculated. Using the online records of calls,
users are now able to keep their call registers up to date. A number
dialed can be marked as official or private, resulting in a usage report which
is loaded onto the payroll system for the deduction of private calls. All the
numbers marked as official is made available as part of a online telephone
directory system.
Budget Management System:
The accounting software used stores its data on an open database. This makes
the data available for use using AppWizard. Online budget reports allows all
users to view the state of their budgets live. In addition users are able
to capture their budgets for the next year directly using AppWizard, using the
detailed template of the previous year as a basis. After approving the
budgets, the new budgets are automatically loaded into the accounting system.
This system was connected to procurement system, limiting the ability of the
user to purchase against invalid accounts, as well as requiring the approval of
a supervisor prior to overspending.
Water Facilities Management System:
This application starts by allowing users to capture water meter readings on
the system. A variance report is available to the supervisor, requiring his
approval of the variances. The data automatically feeds into the accounting
system to produce customer invoices and to view budgeted vs. actual sales. A
technical report is used to view the discrepancies in the water balance,
indicating high losses. This focuses the technical team on areas where leakage
or theft could be taking place.
